Ranked 6th in the overall category by HEC, FAST-NUCES Lahore is one of the very good universities in Pakistan. The computer science degree is famous across the country and is considered the best for CS among students nationwide. Students are not very satisfied with the administration and consider it sluggish. The department of civil engineering is lagging behind as the campus is small and cannot accommodate instruments needed for civil engineering to excel.
The grading system is quite strict and students cannot choose courses on their own rather courses are assigned to them. Students are not very satisfied with such assignment of courses as they cannot choose their instructors and may end up with inexperienced teachers. The faculty over all is state of art but students feel that some faculty members are hired right after their graduation and lack experience in the skill of teaching. Majority of the students are satisfied with academics and those in the computer science department are high over their heels.
